Factory Manager -Matale (FMCG, Food & Beverages)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
• Machinery Oversight: Manage and maintain equipment including water treatment plants, wood boilers, tower dryers, and other spice processing machinery.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
• Process Optimization: Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Warehousing: Ensure that proper record-keeping, reporting and checks are implemented for RM, WIP and FG, while ensuring safe and secure transfer of goods within company premises.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
• Two years of experience in a similar capacity and five years of experience in a manufacturing company, e.g., proven experience in managing factory operations and machinery.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards.
• Living within traveling distance of Palapathwala, Matale or will relocate

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Experience in the food processing, pharmaceutical, or similar industries is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with essential oils and oleoresin production is a plus but not mandatory.
• Experience in a production environment adhering to ISO 22000 or FSSC 22000 standards
