Role Summary
Abanchy Ceylon is a fast-growing freight forwarding company seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Executive – Finance to join our Finance Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange and process supplier and operational payments.
- Handle telegraphic transfer (TT) payments and related documentation.
- Prepare and coordinate sales commission payments for the sales team.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Liaise with banks and handle routine banking correspondence.
- Support daily finance and accounting operations.
- Enter and maintain financial data in GenSoft ERP system.
- Assist in preparing reports and schedules as required.
- Provide operational support to the Assistant Accountant.
Requirements
- Part qualification in AAT, CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA, or an equivalent accounting qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role (experience in logistics or freight forwarding will be an added advantage).
- Good knowledge of banking procedures and payment processing.
- Familiarity with accounting software; experience with GenSoft will be an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
