Our client is one of Sri Lanka's leading insurance companies, renowned for delivering innovative insurance solutions and exceptional customer service. They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Trainee to join their finance team on a 6-month contract.

Location: Colombo

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting and finance operations.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist in bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
• Process invoices, payments, and expense claims.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and management information.
• Coordinate with internal departments to obtain required financial information.
• Perform other finance-related duties assigned by the Finance Manager.

Requirements

• Part qualification in AAT, CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA, or CMA, or currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous internship or finance-related experience will be an added advantage.
