Finance Manager - Elegant Knitting International

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Finance Manager to join our Australian-owned sweater manufacturing business. You will be responsible for managing financial operations, developing and implementing financial strategies, preparing financial reports, and analyzing data to inform business decisions. You will also communicate with the Australian HQ regarding the financial status of the Sri Lankan operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise finance, shipping, purchasing, and stores departments.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve company goals.
• Oversee the preparation of financial reports (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements).
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for performance improvement.
• Monitor and manage the company's budget and financial plans.
• Work with the management team to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial processes and systems.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Manage relationships with financial institutions, including banks and investors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Experience in an export and BOI environment.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance management role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and spreadsheet applications.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Experience in the apparel manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
