Finance Manager
Company: Commercial Development Company PLC (CDC), a listed company and a subsidiary of Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, invites applications from qualified and experienced professionals for the post of Finance Manager.
Position Overview
The Finance Manager will lead the Finance Department, providing overall leadership and direction across financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, internal controls, audit coordination, and statutory obligations, while contributing to the Company's strategic financial planning and corporate governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing financial reporting and compliance, including preparation of financial statements in accordance with LKAS/SLFRS, and quarterly/annual reporting to the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE).
- Lead budgeting, financial planning, and working capital management, collaborating with the Chief Executive Officer to align with the Company's Corporate Plan.
- Designing and implementing strong internal controls and risk management frameworks.
- Coordinating with the Board Audit Committee and facilitating internal/external audits.
- Supporting investor relations, corporate disclosures, and AGM/EGM compliance under the Companies Act and CSE Listing Rules.
- Ensuring statutory and tax compliance (Inland Revenue Act, EPF/ETF, and other regulatory obligations).
- Providing strategic financial leadership, including capital structure and investment evaluations.
- Preparing board papers on financial matters and supporting corporate governance requirements.
Skills and Requirements
- Professional membership of CA Sri Lanka / ACCA / CIMA / CPA.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
- A Master's degree from a recognized university will be an advantage.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in finance/accounts, including at least 7 years at managerial level.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with ERP Accounting systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical ability with sound decision-making and a high degree of accuracy.
