Transport Manager

Role Summary

Star Garments (Pvt) Ltd is a world-class apparel sourcing, design, and manufacturing company providing expert execution in product development, technical innovation, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily islandwide transport operations to ensure timely delivery.
• Design and implement efficient delivery routes to reduce transport costs and delivery time.
• Coordinate with warehouse and drivers to ensure smooth dispatch and on-time deliveries.
• Monitor vehicle movements and ensure deliveries are completed according to schedule.
• Allocate vehicles and drivers effectively to maximize fleet utilization.
• Ensure safe deliveries while maintaining excellent service standards.
• Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle utilization, and transport expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate transport records, delivery schedules, and operational reports.
• Handle transport-related issues promptly to maintain uninterrupted operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, road safety regulations, and transport procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Logistics, Transport Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (added advantage).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Transport, Logistics, or Fleet Operations.
• Excellent knowledge of route planning and islandwide distribution.
• Good leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet delivery deadlines.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office; exposure to ERP systems is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prepare transport reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Flexible to work extended hours when required.
