Accountant (FMCG)

Samagi Spice Exports (Pvt) Ltd is one of Sri Lanka's leading exporters of premium cinnamon, spices, and value-added agricultural products. As we continue to expand our finance function to support this growth, we are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, and result-oriented professional to join our Finance Team as an Accountant, based in Matara.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit comprehensive Management Information (MI) reports and financial analyses to support executive decision-making.
• Manage daily sales accounting, invoicing, receivables, and customer account reconciliations.
• Monitor inventory movements, stock control, and periodic stock verification.
• Coordinate with sales, production, warehouse, and procurement teams for operational efficiency.
• Evaluate, monitor, and strengthen internal financial controls and processes to ensure compliance and effective governance.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline or full part professional qualification from CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, or CIMA.
• Minimum 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a similar executive or managerial role, preferably with FMCG or manufacturing sector experience.
• Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan Accounting Standards, financial policies, and best practices.
• Proven hands-on experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
