Role Summary
We are seeking highly experienced audit or investigation professionals with strong Banking & Finance sector exposure to join our expanding Internal Audit Team on an assignment basis.
Location
Base Location - Malabe
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thematic audits and process audits in line with the annual audit plan.
- Conduct investigations and assist in preparing comprehensive audit and investigation reports within timelines.
- Carry out risk-based audits, operational reviews, and special assignments independently with minimum supervision.
- Review branch and departmental operations to ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify operational weaknesses, irregularities, process gaps, and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate audit evidence, documentation, and investigation records related to findings.
- Support management in strengthening governance, risk management, and internal control processes.
- Ensure confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity while handling sensitive information and investigations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Retired Auditors, Investigation Officers, or related professionals with proven industry experience.
- Previous Banking & Finance sector experience is compulsory.
- Prior exposure to internal audits, branch audits, compliance reviews, investigations, or risk-based auditing will be a strong advantage.
- Professional qualifications such as CA, CIMA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Excellent report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage assignments professionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to travel substations at short notice
