Software Engineering Executive - Full Stack (on Contract)

The Job/Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in the entire application development lifecycle—from gathering requirements and modelling database to designing scalable web applications using ASP.NET,.NET Core, and Web Forms and overseeing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and deployment to ensure solutions align directly with business requirements.
• Focus and assist the maintenance and performance of existing web applications and database to facilitate change requests and processes to ensure seamless transitions with minimal disruption and implement additional functionalities to meet business needs and optimize system performance for greater efficiency.
• Provide comprehensive user support for systems, addressing user queries and issues promptly, ensuring optimal system performance, reliability and availability to support operations of the Bank effectively.
• Provide technical expertise to design, develop and maintain documentation including technical specifications, design documents, and operational manuals for application development, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems.
• Contribute to the execution of periodic Business Continuity Plan (BCP) tests at the Disaster Recovery (DR) site to ensure business continuity and minimize impact of any disruption.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes and practices to enhance code quality, maintainability, and overall development effectiveness.
• Contribute to the development of technical solutions and best practices to enhance overall team capabilities.
• Actively participate in a Bid Evaluation Committee (BEC) for IT related procurements and offer technical insights to solicitations and vendors and contribute in formulating and reviewing IT policies and procedures, ensuring they align with industry best practices and the Bank's needs.

Required Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

Educational/Professional Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or is related field obtained from a local or a foreign University, recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka.

Experience:

• Minimum of two (02) years of post-qualification industry experience in software development in C# using ASP.NET, Web Forms /.NET Core and hands on experience in working with RDBMS such as SQL Server/ My SQL Oracle.

Other Requirements:

• Preferred Qualifications: Professional Qualifications/ Certifications in software engineering related technologies, agile development and practices.
• Required Skills: Leadership, Ability to work collaboratively in a team and effectively manage team interactions, Communication and Influence, Strong Analytical Thinking, API Development, Data Migration, Secure Programming, Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery, Agile and hybrid delivery practices, Problem-Solving, Analytical and Decision Making, Knowledge Sharing and Mentorship, Adaptability and Change Management, A forward-thinking mindset with practical experience in developing a CI/CD solution to deploy new capabilities will be an added advantage.
• Age: Below 40 years as of 20.10.2026.
• Employment: On contractual basis for a period of not more than three (03) years.
