Graduate Research Officer (On Contract)

The Institute of Allergology and Immunology, University of Sri Jayewardenepura is seeking suitably qualified candidates for the post of Graduate Research Officer on a contract basis.

Responsibilities & Requirements

• The appointment will be made initially for one year and is extendable based on performance.
• Qualifications:
  • Should hold a bachelor's degree in Biological Science, Medicine, Biomedical Science, Immunology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
  • Should have a minimum of one to two (1-2) years of relevant experience in research, clinical, or laboratory setting in immunology or allergology.
  • Should be familiar with research ethics requirements and Good Clinical/Laboratory Practice guidelines.
  • Should possess proficiency in MS Office and, preferably, basic statistical or data management software.
  • Should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.
  • Should have good written and verbal communication skills in English including scientific writing.
  • Should possess sound organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple research tasks and deadlines.
  • A postgraduate qualification in a relevant field will be an added advantage.

Salary and Duration

The appointment will be made initially for one year and extendable based on performance with an attractive salary scheme based on performance.
