Key Responsibilities
- Category Strategy & Spend Consolidation: Analyze Rs. ~1.2 billion controllable spend across direct and indirect categories and implement group-wide contracts.
- Value Delivery: Target 5-8% YOY savings on controllable spend and achieve cost avoidance through negotiations, demand management, and standardization while owning P&L impact.
- Procurement Operating Model: Design and roll out centralized procurement policies, governance, and ERP/SRM processes across all entities.
- Supplier Management: Develop strategic supplier partnerships, SLAs, and performance scorecards.
- ESG & Sustainability: Drive ESG initiatives including paperless programs, sustainable sourcing, and supplier ESG assessments aligned with group standards.
- Risk & Compliance: Ensure compliance with MNC standards for HSE, anti-bribery, supplier code of conduct, and audit requirements.
- Digital & Data: Build group spend analytics dashboards, drive procurement digitization, and manage contract lifecycles.
- Team Leadership & Change: Build a center-led procurement team and drive adoption with decentralized BU and JV stakeholders.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or an MBA is highly preferred.
- 10+ years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years leading group or regional procurement in a conglomerate, FMCG, manufacturing, logistics, or similar sector.
- Proven track record of delivering Rs. 60-100 million in annual savings through strategic sourcing across direct and indirect categories.
- Experience managing diverse spend categories (fleet, facilities, telecom, insurance, travel, stationery).
- Strong stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to influence MDs/CEOs across multiple BUs and JV partners.
- Strong data analytics capability and deep experience with ERP systems (SAP Aruba preferred).
- Exposure to ESG frameworks, policy governance, and audit/compliance within an MNC setting.
- Demonstrated experience driving sustainability initiatives.
