Role Summary
Berendina is a group of companies consisting of Berendina Micro Investments Company Limited (BMIC), the first license microfinance company (LMFC) regulated by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, and Berendina Development Services (Gte) Limited (BDS). The organization is committed to alleviating poverty among vulnerable and marginalized communities in rural and plantation areas in Sri Lanka.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university or institution.
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in a similar or executive-level capacity.
- Proficiency in MS Office with a strong aptitude for technology and software applications.
- Strong skills in managing databases and spreadsheets, with exceptional recordkeeping and reporting abilities.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
- A team player with excellent interpersonal skills, strong values, and leadership qualities.
- High attention to detail, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate employee engagement activities at the Head Office and branch level.
- Manage the vehicle fleet and oversee all related issues, including repairs and services, in a cost-effective manner.
- Oversee inventory management processes.
- Supervise the maintenance, servicing, and repair of company-owned assets.
- Handle premises security management, janitorial services, and courier service administration.
- Lead the planning and organization of corporate events, annual get-togethers, and staff training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
- Ensure the health and safety of staff by taking timely precautionary measures.
