Director - IT Audit Division

Role Summary

KPMG in Sri Lanka is the oldest Chartered Accountancy firm in the country, providing Audit, Tax, and Advisory services. The IT Audit team provides service-related controls around the financial reporting process, including IT application and general controls for both audit and non-audit clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Practice Management for a portfolio of clients requiring IT Audit specialist involvement.
• Ensuring quality assurance, team performance, and assisting in business development.
• Delivery of practice objectives at the day-to-day level.
• Effective communication on technical issues to internal and external clients.
• Planning and implementation of changes to audit quality requirements.
• Leading client relationships and supporting key client partners.
• Reviewing quality of work in detail and providing staff training.
• Applying in-depth understanding of core business process cycles (procure to pay, revenue to receivables, record to report).
• Understanding technology touchpoints, ERPs (SAP or Oracle), operating systems, databases, and ERP analytics.
• Providing IT support for External Audits and applying IT Audit methodology.
• Utilizing knowledge of Cyber Security, business continuity management, and data analytics.
• Introducing innovative solutions to improve audit quality and efficiency.
• Responding to internal KPMG reviewer queries or external regulator queries.
• Leveraging financial services industry experience (lending, deposits, trading, etc.).

Requirements

• CISA or equivalent certification is mandatory.
• Bachelor in Finance or equivalent CA/CPA/ACCA certification, or Computer Engineering degree/certification (Preferred).
• A minimum of 12–15 years of experience working in supporting financial audits with Big 4, or internal audits.
• Experience in IT Advisory, IT Audit Support, or Technology Risk Consulting in a Big 4.
• Work experience in a Financial Service Institution will be an added advantage.
• Any prior experience in a similar function in a Big 4.
