VACANCY – HEALTH & SAFETY OFFICER

Location: Biyagama Export Processing Zone (EPZ), Sri Lanka

A leading Solid Tyres and Wheel Systems manufacturing and export-oriented organization located in Biyagama EPZ is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced professional for the position of:

HEALTH & SAFETY OFFICER

We are looking for a proactive and committed individual to support a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace and strengthen our Integrated Management System (IMS).

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor Health & Safety policies, procedures, and practices.
• Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, hazard identification, and audits.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct safety awareness programs, toolbox talks, and employee training.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and evacuation drills.
• Maintain relevant Health & Safety records and documentation.
• Support the effective implementation and continual improvement of the IMS.
• Promote a strong safety culture and employee participation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Recognized qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Good knowledge of workplace safety, risk assessment, accident investigation, and emergency response.
• Knowledge/experience in ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 will be a distinct advantage.
• Knowledge in Sustainability practices, Carbon Footprint etc will be an added advantage.
• Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Candidates residing in or around Biyagama will be preferred.
