Job Profile

• Implement and monitor Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) procedures at the project site.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, project requirements, and applicable safety regulations.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and awareness programs for workers.
• Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and prepare relevant reports.
• Maintain HSE records, inspection checklists, permits, and safety documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and workers regarding safety matters.
• Monitor housekeeping, emergency preparedness, and safe working practices.
• Assist in conducting risk assessments and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Carry out other HSE-related duties assigned by the management.

Candidate Profile

• Relevant HSE/Safety certification will be an advantage.
• Previous experience as an HSE Officer/Safety Officer in a construction or engineering project is preferred.
• Good knowledge of construction site safety practices, risk assessment, and accident prevention.
• Knowledge of Sri Lankan health and safety requirements will be an advantage.
• Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Strong observation and problem-solving abilities.
• Responsible, disciplined, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and flexible hours when required.
• Good English communication skills are required.
