ASSISTANT MANAGER / EXECUTIVE - HR (Compensation and Benefits)

We are looking for a detail-oriented candidate with analytical expertise to manage payroll, compensation/benefits, and statutory compliance processes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure accurate & timely processing of monthly payroll, salary credits, and paysheets up to Senior Manager grade
  • Manage statutory obligations including EPF, ETF, gratuity payments etc
  • Coordinate with the outsourced payroll partner to ensure compliance
  • Administer staff facilities, including loans, credit cards, fuel reimbursements, incentives, and other benefit schemes
  • Process medical insurance, festival advances, bonus payments, and salary increments
  • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to staff loan and medical insurance policies in line with market trends
  • Ensure total recovery or conversion of staff benefits upon employees' departure
  • Function as the Deputy Business Continuity Plan (BCP) Coordinator for HR and the designated point of contact for Personal Data Protection
  • Track HR Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and compile monthly financial provisions
  • Address staff grievances pertaining to payments & benefits
  • Assist the Head of HR in year-end salary revision process
  • Conduct periodic analysis and/or market surveys on industry salary bands & benefits

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in HR/Management, or an equivalent professional qualification (e.g. CIPM)
  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience with minimum of 2 years handling a similar role preferably in Banking or Financial Services sector
  • High proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office suite with strong numerical accuracy
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
  • Solid working knowledge of Sri Lankan labor legislation, statutory compliance, and banking operational norms
