Intern – SEED Trust Projects

A great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in development projects and make a difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Projects Coordinator in planning, implementing and monitoring SEED Trust projects.
  • Assist in preparing reports, updates and other project documentation.
  • Maintain and update the SEED Marketplace online platform.
  • Coordinate with government and non-government stakeholders, farmers and buyers.
  • Monitor project beneficiaries and conduct follow-ups to track progress.
  • Assist in planning, organizing, coordinating, attending meetings, workshops and other projects.
  • Undertake field visits and official travel across Sri Lanka as required.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Projects Coordinator or Management.

Requirements

  • BSc in Agriculture
  • Diploma in Agriculture / Degree in Social Science or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of agriculture and rural development
  • Familiarity with project implementation, monitoring and reporting
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and online platforms
  • Good coordination, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work in rural and field-based environments
  • Fluency in English and another language
  • Valid Sri Lankan motorcycle riding licence is mandatory.

Colombo with field visits across Sri Lanka
