Role Summary

We are seeking a motivated, technically skilled, and detail-oriented Irrigation Engineer to support the planning, design, implementation, and supervision of irrigation and water management systems for construction and infrastructure-related projects. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting site assessments, preparing irrigation designs, supervising installation works, monitoring water distribution systems, coordinating with project teams and consultants, and ensuring that all irrigation activities are completed according to project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and approved timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and assess water sources, land levels, soil conditions, drainage requirements, and irrigation needs.
• Design efficient irrigation systems including pipelines, canals, pumps, valves, sprinklers, drip systems, storage tanks, and drainage layouts.
• Prepare technical drawings, BOQs, cost estimates, material requirements, method statements, and work schedules.
• Supervise irrigation system installation, testing, commissioning, repair, and maintenance activities at project sites.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, QS teams, procurement teams, subcontractors, and site engineers.
• Monitor water flow, pump performance, pressure levels, leakage issues, and overall system efficiency.
• Ensure irrigation works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Maintain accurate project records, site reports, measurements, progress updates, and inspection documents.
• Identify technical issues at site level and provide practical solutions to improve system performance.
• Ensure timely completion of irrigation-related works while maintaining quality and cost control.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related field.
• More than 3 years of experience in irrigation, drainage, water supply, landscaping, agriculture, or construction-related projects is required.
• Good knowledge of irrigation systems, pumps, pipelines, drainage systems, and water management practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, site plans, BOQs, and engineering specifications.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, and project documentation will be an advantage.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and site supervision skills.
• Ability to work with project teams, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and site staff effectively.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and work according to project requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and commitment to quality and safety.
