IT Hardware & Networking Intern
Role Summary
FINAP is seeking a driven IT Hardware & Networking Intern to provide technical assistance within a professional setting. This role is ideal for individuals eager to acquire practical experience in hardware maintenance and network support.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve software and system issues on both macOS and Windows platforms.
- Perform hardware repairs, maintenance, and component upgrades for various devices.
- Offer technical aid for peripherals including printers, monitors, desktops, and laptops.
- Manage and keep the IT asset registry up to date.
- Assist with network connectivity tasks involving routers, switches, Wi-Fi, and core protocols like DNS and DHCP.
- Keep detailed records of all technical repairs and troubleshooting steps.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a degree or diploma program in Computer Science, IT, Networking, or a similar discipline.
- Foundational understanding of computer hardware and troubleshooting procedures.
- Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Basic grasp of networking fundamentals such as IP addressing and LAN.
- Strong analytical abilities and a proactive approach to learning.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
