What You Will Do

  • Provide hands-on, day-to-day IT support to AeroKnow users, including desk-side assistance and troubleshooting for hardware, software, access, connectivity, printing, and general system issues.
  • Respond to user requests promptly and practically, resolving issues directly where possible and escalating more complex matters to the AeroKnow or Group line manager, MSPs, or related third parties when required.
  • Support and maintain AeroKnow's local IT equipment and services, including laptops, desktops, peripherals, network equipment, sharing devices, and mobile devices.
  • Provide first-line operational support for AeroKnow business systems such as M-Files and others, helping users with access, usage queries, basic troubleshooting, and recording issues for follow-up where needed.
  • Perform regular checks and basic maintenance activities to help keep IT systems stable, secure, and available, including monitoring common issues and highlighting risks.
  • Maintain practical local IT registers and documentation.
  • Support IT security and compliance requirements in day-to-day practice, following agreed processes, promoting secure user behaviour, assisting with basic checks, and reporting concerns or incidents promptly.
  • Assist with improvement activities and group-led IT changes where required, focusing on practical local implementation, user support, testing, feedback, and ensuring the AeroKnow site continues to operate smoothly.
  • Provide clear updates on local IT issues, actions, risks, and support needs to line management.

What You Should Have

  • 2-3 years IT support experience, with the ability to troubleshoot common hardware, software, access, connectivity, and peripheral issues in a busy office environment.
  • Relevant IT degree or professional qualifications preferred but not essential.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Administration, Windows devices, user accounts, printing, networking, and general business applications.
  • Able to work independently on site, prioritise user requests, follow agreed processes, and escalate appropriately when issues require additional support.
  • Clear communication skills and a helpful, professional approach when supporting users at different levels of technical confidence.
  • Awareness of IT security, data protection, access control, and safe handling of company systems and equipment.
