IT Technician

Role Summary

Gal-Oya Plantations (Pvt) Limited is looking for a dedicated IT Technician to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy solving technical problems and managing IT infrastructure to ensure seamless business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical assistance for hardware, including computers, printers, and networking tools.
• Manage the installation, setup, and upkeep of software, operating systems, and network configurations.
• Resolve connectivity, internet, and hardware malfunctions promptly.
• Oversee system security, data backups, and general IT infrastructure health.
• Assist staff with email, software applications, and various technical queries.
• Set up and maintain CCTV surveillance systems, including NVR/DVR devices.
• Keep accurate logs and documentation of all IT assets and inventory.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Completion of G.C.E. Advanced Level.
• A diploma or professional certification in IT, Networking, Hardware, or CCTV is preferred.
• At least 1 to 2 years of practical experience in a technical support capacity.
• Proficiency in Windows environments, Microsoft Office, and basic network administration.
• Practical knowledge of routers, switches, Wi-Fi setup, and cabling.
• Strong ability to manage various tasks independently and efficiently.
