Assistant Accountant - Local Accounts

Role Summary

We are a Business Process Management (BPM) company servicing large establishments in the Middle East and Sri Lanka. We deliver end-to-end finance, accounting back-office functions, and tax & audit services. We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team serving the local clientele.

Key Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping & financial record maintenance for local clients.
• Financial statement preparation under local accounting standards.
• Assist clients in preparing Indirect Taxes like VAT, SSCL, etc.
• Bank reconciliation and other related activities.

Requirements

• 4+ years experience in a core accounting role in an audit firm is a must.
• Hands-on experience with MS Office packages is a must.
• Part qualification of CA or ACCA is a must.
• Proficiency in ERP / accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, etc.).
• Experience in preparing final accounts and tax returns for the SME sector.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
