Junior Accounting Associate

Role Summary

Gomes & Company, a firm of Chartered Accountants based in Moratuwa, is seeking dynamic and motivated individuals for Accounts Trainee positions. This role offers practical training and internship opportunities for students and aspiring professionals.

Requirements

• Recent school leavers with a strong interest in pursuing a career in accountancy.
• Passed the G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) examination.
• Must possess a strong and genuine interest in learning the practical aspects of accounting.

Location

The firm is located in Katubedda. Candidates residing around Katubedda and Kalutara areas are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including:
  • Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Journal entries
  • Petty cash handling
• Sales invoicing.
• Maintaining financial records, filing, and other finance-related administrative duties.
