Assistant Engineer - Electrical / Mechanical

Key Responsibilities

• Execute tasks delegated by Project Manager/Engineer with precision and efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members for the design, implementation, testing, and commissioning of Solar PV systems.
• Provide support to technical staff and demonstrate proficiency in producing CAD drawings per specifications.
• Actively engage in continuous professional development and ensure strict adherence to ISO 9001:2015 QMS, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 OHS MS standards.
• Offer technical guidance and support to subordinates, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Full or partial completion of NDT, TTI, HNDE or NVQ 6 equivalent qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or Power Engineering from a recognized university and institution.
• Previous experience in solar PV system installations will be a definite advantage.
• Ability to address customer inquiries, provide recommendations, and establish trust.
• Willingness and ability to travel and stay outside Colombo for installation projects.
• Familiarity with ISO standards, industry standards and best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and other applications.
