Junior Executive / Assistant- Finance
The Junior Executive / Assistant - Finance will support daily finance and accounting operations, including petty cash, IOUs, cheques, bank transactions, QuickBooks entries, reconciliations, and financial documentation, while ensuring accurate and timely maintenance of financial records.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day accounting and finance-related activities.
- Maintain and manage petty cash, including cash disbursements, receipts, and daily cash reconciliation.
- Process and maintain IOU requests, supporting documents, settlements, and related records.
- Prepare, issue, record, and maintain cheques and cheque-related documentation.
- Maintain proper records of cash, bank transactions, receipts, payments, and supporting documents.
- Enter and update accounting transactions accurately in QuickBooks.
- Assist in maintaining accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
- Prepare payment vouchers, receipts, journal entries, and other accounting documents.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and verification of financial transactions.
- Monitor outstanding payments, receipts, advances, and IOU settlements.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of invoices, receipts, vouchers, cheques, and other financial records.
- Assist with supplier and customer account reconciliations.
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly authorized, recorded, and supported with relevant documentation.
- Perform any other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by the management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized state university.
- Professional qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or CA will be an added advantage.
- Minimum more than 2 years of experience in the finance sector.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, is preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
