Junior Lawyer - Litigation

We are looking for a motivated and committed Attorney-at-Law to join our team as a Junior Lawyer - Litigation at our office in Battaramulla.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with civil and commercial litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions and other legal documents.
• Represent and appear for clients before Courts and Tribunals.
• Assist with Court-related procedures, filings and obtaining certified copies of Court records.
• Conduct legal research and prepare case-related documentation.
• Liaise with clients, counsel and relevant authorities.
• Maintain proper case files and ensure matters are attended to within required timelines.

REQUIREMENTS

• Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka.
• Minimum 2 years' relevant legal experience, preferably with litigation experience.
• Good knowledge of civil and commercial litigation and Court procedure.
• Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and work independently as well as part of a team.
• Knowledge or practical experience in Company Secretarial work will be an added advantage.
