Trainee Engineer – Marine Operations

Role Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and career-oriented individual to join our team as a Management Trainee – Marine Operations. This opportunity is ideal for candidates who are passionate about the maritime industry and eager to gain hands-on exposure in marine operations, technical coordination, and vessel-related activities. Candidates with prior exposure to marine operations, technical coordination, vessel operations, or port-related activities will have a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in marine repairs coordination and follow-up activities.
• Support technical and survey-related operational work.
• Coordinate with service providers, suppliers, and operational stakeholders.
• Assist in quotation handling and commercial negotiations.
• Support vessel operation coordination and port/regulatory compliance activities.
• Work closely with the operations team while understudying senior operational functions for future continuity.

Skills and Experience Required

• Strong operational and coordination capabilities.
• Good understanding of vessel operations and port compliance requirements.
• Commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and good organizational skills.
• Candidates from KDU, Ocean University, CINEC, or other recognized universities/institutes offering Marine Engineering Degrees or Diplomas will be preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar role will be an added advantage.
