Junior Mechanical Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking a proactive and technically competent individual to join our engineering team at the Horana Plant. The ideal candidate will assist in managing mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting plant machinery, and ensuring smooth, efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

Core Competencies: Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in:

• Machinery Maintenance (Preventive, breakdown, and routine servicing of plant machinery).
• Compressed Air Systems (Operation and maintenance of industrial compressors and air lines).
• Hydraulic Systems (Troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic machinery and components).
• LPG Gas Systems (Familiarity with industrial LPG networks, burners, or gas systems is an added advantage).

Requirements

• NDT (National Diploma in Technology) or an equivalent technical diploma below degree level (e.g., NDES, HNDE, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in an industrial manufacturing plant.
• Good diagnostic and problem solving skills.
• Be computer literate and possess good communication skills.
• Well organized, efficient and ability to work under pressure.
• Good team player.
• Age below 30 years.
