DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate plant equipment and machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures under the guidance of the shift in charge.
• Assist in the monitoring of plant operations, ensuring all processes are running efficiently and that production schedules are met.
• Conduct routine inspections and perform maintenance tasks to prevent equipment malfunctions and minimize downtime.
• Help with production planning, setting daily/weekly/monthly objectives, and communicating the same to stakeholders.
• Maintain production output according to specified quality standards to meet daily targets.
• Help prepare and submit daily production reports, monthly reports on performance and progress.
• Organize workflows by assigning responsibilities and preparing work schedules.
• Help oversee and ensuring adherence to quality standards by all co-workers.
• Identify and suggest improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Adhere to quality standards and help ensure their compliance by all co-workers.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• A diploma in mechanical or chemical engineering is preferred, with a strong background in chemistry.
• Willing to cover shifts in a 24-hour shift roster.
• Have a proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel for data management and record-keeping.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
• Demonstrate the ability to understand, follow, and accurately apply company policies, practices, and standard operating procedures.
• Reside in or be willing to relocate to the Palapathwela, Matale area.
