QA / Software Tester (Trainee/Intern)

Role Summary

myPOS Software Solutions (Pvt) Ltd is one of the key players in the Point of Sales software industry. We are expanding our team and seeking the right candidates for the QA / Software Tester (Trainee/Intern) position.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and execute test cases based on requirements.
• Perform manual testing: functional, regression, integration.
• Identify, document, and report software defects using Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with developers to resolve issues within the bug life cycle.
• Write and maintain test scenarios ensuring full test coverage.
• Validate database queries using basic SQL commands.
• Test and validate API endpoints using Postman.
• Participate in test planning and contribute to the STLC.
• Follow QA standards and best practices for software quality.
• Support automation testing with Selenium or Playwright.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Software Engineering, CS or related.
• Final-year students or recent graduates suitable.
• Basic understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Basic software testing concepts and QA standards.
• Ability to write test cases and test scenarios.
• Basic bug reporting and bug life cycle knowledge.
• Familiarity with Jira or Azure DevOps (preferred).
• Basic SQL knowledge for database validation.
• Basic API understanding (Postman is an advantage).
• Basic Selenium or Playwright knowledge is a plus.
• Familiarity with Git is an added advantage.
