Assistant Site Engineer / Technical Officer

Role Summary

Grand Apartments is hiring a Technical Officer to support site operations across residential apartment projects. This role involves supervising structural and finishing work, ensuring quality execution, and reporting technical matters to the Site Engineer. You will work closely with subcontractors and site supervisors to keep progress on track and construction aligned with drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day construction work (structural and finishing).
• Ensure correct implementation of site layouts and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and skilled workers.
• Report technical or quality issues to the Site Engineer.
• Monitor material usage and maintain basic site records.
• Assist with inspections and site-level measurements.

Requirements

• NDT / HNDE / NVQ Level 5 or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in building construction (apartments preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Good understanding of reinforcement, masonry, plastering, tiling, and finishes.
• Strong on-site coordination and communication skills.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary: LKR 120,000 – 150,000 (based on experience, with performance-based increments).
