Kitchen Assistant

The Role

Day-to-day kitchen work under the Chef. Not a supervisory position.

Duties

• Mise en place — cutting, cleaning, portioning and basic prep
• Assist with à la carte and set-menu service (starter, soup, main, dessert)
• Handle simple dishes independently once trained
• Receive and store goods correctly; follow FIFO
• Maintain kitchen hygiene, cleanliness and food-safety standards
• Support breakfast, lunch and dinner services on a roster basis

We're Looking For

• 1–3 years' hotel or restaurant kitchen experience (NVQ / culinary certificate an advantage)
• Able to work independently on routine tasks without supervision
• Clean, organised and fast during service
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and peak season
• Comfortable living and working at a remote property
