Role Summary

Elizabeth Moir School is a leading international school in Colombo with eight new, custom-built, science laboratories. The school is seeking a qualified, experienced Laboratory Technician to organise practical lessons for students in International GCSE and A Level Chemistry.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting up equipment for practical lessons
• Testing experiments in advance of lessons
• Assisting students during practical lessons
• Supervising students’ safety in the laboratories
• Maintaining all laboratory equipment
• Keeping accurate inventories of all supplies
• Ensuring safety protocols are followed
• Helping in other areas of school

Requirements

• Relevant work experience in a university or professional laboratory
• Excellent academic qualifications including a degree in a relevant subject
• Fluent written and spoken English
