Qualifications
- Diploma or B.Sc. in Laboratory Technology.
- SLMC Registration.
- Leadership Qualities/Capabilities of working independently, and having responsibility as an individual.
- Computer literacy.
- Good Communication skills in Sinhala and English.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all laboratory SOPs across pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical processes to maintain accurate and reliable reporting.
- Supervise daily laboratory operations, including specimen processing, analyser operations and workflow across all laboratory benches.
- Prepare staff rosters, allocate team members to appropriate workstations and ensure the smooth and efficient flow of laboratory operations.
- Identify and prioritise urgent specimens, review results and coordinate with the reference laboratory whenever additional support is required.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and identify situations requiring further technical assistance.
