Senior Quantity Surveyor at Stonehaven Project Development Consultant

Role Summary

STONEHAVEN is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a well-rounded knowledge of both pre- and post-contract works. This role requires expertise in Bill of Quantities (BoQ) preparation in accordance with POMI, NRM, and CESMM. You will play a key role in delivering estimating and quantity surveying services across all project stages within the engineering and construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately measure and price using contract drawings and specifications.
• Manage both pre-contract tasks (tender documents, BoQs, cost estimates) and post-contract functions (interim and final payments, variations, claims).
• Advise on contractual matters and ensure compliance.
• Ensure timely submission and completeness of valuations.
• Prepare and manage variations, day-works, and monitor contract final cost estimates.
• Maintain detailed expenditure records and prepare financial statements for monthly reports.
• Review, negotiate, and prepare claim settlements.
• Perform QA/QC tasks and other relevant duties.
• Manage and lead the team to achieve goals effectively.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or quantity surveying; 5+ years of work experience; strong understanding of BoQ preparation under POMI, NRM, and CESMM; proven ability to manage pre- and post-contract works; excellent communication skills.
• Desired Skills: Familiarity with construction contract documents, drawings, and specifications; proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred; strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently.
