Lecturer / Assistant Librarian

Role Summary

The University of Colombo Institute for Agro-Technology and Rural Sciences (UCIARS) is seeking applications for the positions of Lecturer (Probationary/Unconfirmed)/Senior Lecturer Grade II/I in the Department of Agro-Technology and an Assistant Librarian.

Responsibilities

• Lecturer: Teaching and research in the field of Biotechnology/Agriculture Biotechnology.
• Assistant Librarian: Managing library resources and information services with a focus on agriculture technology.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Lecturer: BSc (Hons) Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Resource Management and Technology, Agricultural Sciences and Management, Agricultural Technology and Management, Agro-Technology, or Biosystems Technology. Postgraduate qualifications in Biotechnology/Agriculture Biotechnology are preferred.
• Assistant Librarian: Degree with specific class requirements or a degree plus a postgraduate degree in Library and Information Sciences. Experience in a university environment is an added qualification.
