Legal Consultant
Role Summary
FPA Sri Lanka seeks legal expertise to review its existing Safeguarding Policy and ensure its compliance with the Sri Lankan legal and regulatory framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Review the current FPA Sri Lanka Safeguarding Policy and related procedures.
- Assess compliance with relevant Sri Lankan legislation and regulations relating to child protection, sexual harassment, labor, data protection, and reporting obligations.
- Identify legal gaps, risks, or inconsistencies.
- Recommend amendments to strengthen legal compliance and implementation.
- Provide legal input to revise the policy where required.
- Submit a final review report outlining findings and recommendations.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Attorney-at-Law qualified to practice in Sri Lanka.
- Demonstrated experience in policy review and legal compliance.
- Knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, labor, and non-profit sector regulations in Sri Lanka.
- Experience working with NGOs, development organizations, or international agencies is an advantage.
Salary/Benefits
Payment Terms:
- 40% upon submission of the Legal Review Note and Legal Gap Analysis.
- 60% upon submission and acceptance of the Revised Safeguarding Policy and Final Legal Review Report.
All payments are subject to applicable taxes and FPA Sri Lanka’s financial procedures.
