Job Profile

The Manager – Legal will provide strategic legal counsel across the Group, supporting corporate transactions, governance, commercial operations, and regulatory compliance while managing legal risk and protecting the Group's interests.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, governance, and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and transactional documents.
• Support the Board and Management on corporate governance and statutory compliance.
• Conduct legal due diligence for acquisitions, investments, and strategic partnerships.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks arising from business operations.
• Manage external legal counsel and regulatory relationships.
• Develop legal policies, contract templates, and governance frameworks.

Qualifications & Experience

• LLB or equivalent from a recognised university.
• Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka.
• 5-8 years' post-qualification experience in corporate and commercial law.
• Exposure to mergers & acquisitions, corporate governance, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance.
• An LLM, MBA, or prior in-house experience will be an added advantage.
