Legal Recovery Specialist

Role Summary
We are seeking a motivated, responsible, and detail-oriented Legal & Recovery Officer to manage legal documentation, recovery of outstanding debts, and coordinate with customers and relevant authorities.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue Letters of Demand to customers.
- Handle returned cheque cases and coordinate recovery actions.
- Monitor customer outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments.
- Prepare legal correspondence and maintain accurate legal records.
- Coordinate with lawyers, banks, police, and other authorities regarding recovery matters.
- Prepare and lodge police complaints when required.
- Maintain proper documentation of legal and recovery cases.
- Prepare periodic recovery reports for management.
- Ensure all recovery activities comply with company policies and applicable laws.
- Perform other legal and administrative duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- G.C.E. Advanced Level. A Diploma or Degree in Law, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in legal, recovery, credit control, or debt collection is preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of legal procedures relating to debt recovery and returned cheques will be an added advantage.
