Assistant Manager - Maintenance & Projects

Role Summary

LAUGFS Supermarket is looking for individuals who share our commitment to growth, dedication, and teamwork to join our expanding network.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and manage projects with full ownership, ensuring completion within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Oversee maintenance operations related to electrical systems, air conditioning, machinery, equipment, buildings, vehicles, and other infrastructure.
• Conduct periodic inspections, audits, and reviews of all maintenance activities and project sites to ensure compliance with company standards and safety requirements.
• Coordinate effectively with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure smooth execution of projects and maintenance operations.
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures, operational guidelines, and best practices to improve efficiency and cost control.
• Maintain an updated database of machinery, equipment, service agreements, and technical specifications.
• Monitor and control project and maintenance costs within approved budgets.
• Build and maintain a reliable supplier and contractor network to support operational efficiency and timely service delivery.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university or NDT / HNDE / NDES in a relevant field.
• Minimum 6–8 years of relevant experience in project execution, electrical maintenance, facility management, or engineering operations.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC systems, machinery, and building maintenance operations.
• Proven experience in managing projects, contractors, and maintenance teams effectively.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment while managing multiple responsibilities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and project/maintenance reporting systems.
• Age below 40 years.
