Engineer – Maintenance

Role Summary

AG Melco Elevator Company Lanka (Pvt) Ltd is a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Elevators & Escalators and an ISO-certified company specializing in the supply, installation, modernization, and maintenance of elevators and escalators islandwide. We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented, and self-motivated individual to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage maintenance operations of elevators and escalators to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient performance.
  • Lead, guide, and monitor maintenance technicians to achieve operational and service excellence.
  • Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance, breakdown attendance, and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, prepare repair estimates and quotations, and support business growth objectives.
  • Ensure customer complaints and service requests are attended to promptly and effectively.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and technical evaluations to maintain service quality and company standards.
  • Monitor maintenance schedules, service quality, and productivity to achieve departmental KPIs.
  • Coordinate with customers and internal departments to resolve technical and operational issues.
  • Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, and performance analyses for management.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements and company policies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide technical guidance and training to the maintenance team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in maintenance operations, engineering services, or a similar technical field.
  • Experience in the elevator and escalator industry is a distinct advantage.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid riding/driving license.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the island to supervise maintenance operations and customer sites.
  • Ability to work independently and perform effectively under pressure.
