Role Summary

One of the leading manufacturing companies in Sri Lanka is looking for a high caliber, energetic professional to join as Factory Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management Reporting: Lead the preparation and timely submission of comprehensive management information (MI) reports and financial analysis to guide executive decision-making.
  • Statutory Compliance: Manage and ensure the effective and timely completion of the annual statutory audit process, serving as the primary liaison with external auditors.
  • Control & Governance: Evaluate, monitor, and enforce internal financial controls and processes, ensuring strict compliance across all staff levels to maintain robust governance.
  • Operational Support: Provide direct, secondary line support to the Head of Finance on strategic and high-level financial matters.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and supervise the accounting operations staff, providing guidance, oversight of daily work, and fostering a continuous learning and development environment within the team.

Requirements

  • BSc in the relevant discipline, Full or part qualification from a recognized body such as CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Sound, up-to-date knowledge of Local Accounting Standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a similar executive/managerial capacity or within a reputable Audit firm.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proven hands-on experience working effectively within an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) environment.
  • Soft Skills: Must possess exceptional analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills suitable for team management and high-level reporting.
  • Added Advantage: Previous experience working within a Board of Investment (BOI) approved company is highly desirable.
  • Commitment: Ability and willingness to work extended hours as required during peak financial periods and deadlines.
  • Age: Below 40 years of age.
