Factory Engineer - Ekala

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement preventive maintenance on a scheduled basis.
• Record downtime and breakdowns, collect and manage job cards for all machines and equipment.
• Organize repairs and corrective maintenance for production machinery in consultation with the Factory Manager.
• Design maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods to reduce failures.
• Initiate continuous improvements to minimize plant breakdowns.
• Calibrate and maintain measuring and testing equipment on a scheduled basis and keep records.
• Monitor spare part needs and notify procurement based on programmed activities.
• Set up and operate packaging machines, ensuring accurate code dates and weights.
• Reset machines, clear jams, and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Assist in preparing department KPIs, budgets, and contribute to new projects.
• Assist implementation and sustainment of manufacturing excellence programs.
• Prepare reports for management as required.
• Maintain factory buildings, machinery, and equipment; report defects to the Factory Manager.
• Promote safety, motivate subordinates, and develop talent.
• Demonstrate punctuality, organization, attention to detail, and professional appearance.
• Work collaboratively with managers to implement company policies.
• Be prepared to work long hours on the production floor when needed.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• More than 5 years of experience in the maintenance field.
• Experience in FMCG, Food & Beverages Manufacturing.
