Factory Production Manager

Role Summary

Idea Hub Trading is looking for a practical and hands-on Factory Production Manager to support daily production at our Maharagama factory. Our work includes furniture, signage, interior fit-out elements, hotel and resort fabrication, and other custom-made items. This is not a purely office-based role; the right person must be comfortable spending time on the factory floor, managing teams, solving problems, checking quality, and driving production forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily factory production and workflow.
• Support the Factory Manager in executing production plans.
• Coordinate teams across carpentry, metal, signage, paint, finishing, assembly, and dispatch.
• Ensure work is carried out according to drawings, specifications, and approved samples.
• Monitor quality, timelines, productivity, and discipline on the factory floor.
• Identify and resolve production issues before they cause delays.
• Coordinate with project, design, QS, procurement, and installation teams.
• Support material planning, labour allocation, and job sequencing.
• Ensure finished items are checked properly before dispatch or installation.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and proper working standards in the factory.
• Provide clear daily updates on production progress and pending issues.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Experience in furniture manufacturing, joinery, signage, interior fit-out, or custom fabrication.
• Strong practical understanding of factory production and finishing processes.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, measurements, and production details.
• Hands-on leadership
