Role Summary

Our client, a pioneering Sri Lankan manufacturing company, is seeking a result-oriented and self-motivated leader to take on the challenges of the Factory Manager position.

Mathugama Industrial Zone

Key Responsibilities

• Lead factory operations teams to achieve KPIs and ensure supporting functions provide necessary support.
• Ensure Quality Assurance and Control, maintain a Zero Defects culture, and sustain SLS Certifications.
• Champion the ISO Quality Management System and retain accreditations.
• Drive factory and product cost reduction to sustain competitiveness; identify process improvements to reduce waste, defects, and downtime.
• Ensure all machines (extruders, injection moulding, mixers, chillers, compressors, etc.) are properly maintained and serviced.
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental requirements across all factory operations.
• Develop and sustain team capability through effective recruitment, delegation, training, and coaching.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering from a recognized institute.
• Minimum 15 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, with 2 years in a similar capacity.
• Experience in PVC extrusion and injection moulding is an added advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to manage teams and achieve KPIs.
• Sound knowledge of production planning, process control, and factory management using ERP systems; working knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mind-set.
