Mechanic – Marine & Civil Construction

Role Summary

The Mechanic – Marine & Civil Construction will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing heavy construction machinery, marine equipment, and support vehicles to ensure uninterrupted project operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults.
• Maintain service records.
• Conduct routine inspections.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns.
• Ensure machinery operates safely.
• Coordinate spare parts requirements.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 10 years working with heavy construction equipment.
• Education: NVQ/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Heavy Equipment Maintenance.
• Age: 25 to 50 years.
• Language: Sinhala required; English is an advantage.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer literacy.
• Key Competencies: Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, knowledge of hydraulic systems, ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, and teamwork/reliability.

Location

Projects across Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

Salary/Benefits

A starting salary of 450,000 LKR.
