Technical Officer - Marine & Civil Construction
Role Summary
The Technical Officer Marine & Civil Construction will provide technical support for marine and civil construction projects by assisting with planning, site coordination, quality control, technical documentation, and project execution to ensure works are completed according to specifications and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers and Site Engineers in project execution.
- Review drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
- Coordinate inspections and quality assurance activities.
- Monitor material usage and site productivity.
- Assist in quantity measurements and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in marine, civil, or infrastructure construction projects.
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Age: 25 to 45 years.
- Language: Fluent in English (written and spoken); Sinhala/Tamil will be an added advantage.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, MS Project, and engineering software.
- Key Competencies: Strong technical knowledge, ability to interpret engineering drawings, good planning and organizational skills, strong communication and teamwork abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
Salary/Benefits
The successful candidates will be offered the opportunity to work on challenging and rewarding projects across Sri Lanka and the Maldives. A Starting Salary of 300,000 LKR.
