Channel Marketing Executive

Role Summary

Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC, is seeking a Channel Marketing Executive to assist in the creation of well-researched channel initiatives. The role focuses on achieving volume and financial results for the Beverage category by leading the execution of integrated, insight-based marketing solutions for customers and channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute channel marketing activities to drive brand visibility, outlet penetration, sales growth, and consumer engagement.
• Support the planning and implementation of trade promotions, consumer promotions, outlet activations, and seasonal initiatives.
• Coordinate with sales teams, distributors, agencies, and suppliers to ensure effective execution.
• Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and pricing to provide actionable insights.
• Ensure proper deployment of POSM and branding materials in line with guidelines.
• Track and evaluate campaign performance, sales uplift, and return on investment.
• Assist in preparing marketing plans, budgets, performance reports, and presentations.
• Collaborate with brand, sales, supply chain, and finance teams.
• Support new product launches through trade communication, outlet branding, and merchandising.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Degree in Sales/Marketing/Management or equivalent.
• Trade Marketing or Channel Development experience in an FMCG company.
• Sound understanding of channel strategies, sales and distribution processes, and shopper behaviors.
• Strong understanding of Sri Lankan trade channels (general trade, modern trade, SMMT, and HORECA).
• Knowledge of channel management, display and merchandising, and event negotiation.
• Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.

Salary/Benefits

Remuneration for the above position will be in accordance with the JKH Compensation and Benefits Policy.
