Role Summary

Spectrum International Consultants (SIC) is seeking motivated professionals with strong technical knowledge, quantity take-off expertise, and MEP measurement skills to join our growing MEP Quantity Surveying team in Sri Lanka.

Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor

Education & Experience

• BSc / Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of comprehensive MEP Quantity Surveying experience.
• Proven track record of 3-5+ years working on large-scale Middle Eastern projects is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the measurement strategy.
• Allocate work among QSs and AQSs.
• Review critical quantities and high-value items.
• Perform final QA/QC before issue.
• Review assumptions and exclusions.
• Resolve technical and contractual measurement issues.
• Approve RFIs and commercial clarifications.
• Ensure consistency across disciplines and packages.
• Review cost implications of design changes.
• Approve final BOQs, cost plans, and tender quantities.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to the team.
• Manage client-facing discussions related to quantities and measurement.

Technical Requirements

• Expertise in international standards of measurement (POMI, NRM, NRM2).
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, CostX and Microsoft Excel.
• Comprehensive knowledge in all MEP systems, measurement principles, and coordination requirements.
• Ability to prepare accurate BOQs.

MEP Quantity Surveyor

Education & Experience

• BSc / Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Minimum 4-8 years of continuous experience in pre-contract and post-contract MEP Quantity Surveying duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and allocate measurement work.
• Measure complex systems.
• Review all AQS measurements.
• Identify scope gaps and inconsistencies.
• Coordinate with designers for clarifications.
• Prepare BOQs and elemental quantities.
• Ensure compliance with company measurement standards.
• Carry out first-level QA/QC.
• Prepare measurement reports and assumptions.
• Monitor progress against programme.

Technical Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in AutoCAD and CostX.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Sound knowledge of MEP systems, measurement principles, and coordination requirements.
• Ability to prepare accurate and well-organized BOQs and quantity take-off documents.

Assistant MEP Quantity Surveyor

Education & Experience

• BSc / Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Experience: 1-4 years of experience in MEP measurement.
• Fresh graduates with strong academic performance and relevant technical knowledge are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed quantity take-offs from drawings.
• Update CostX/Revit measurement files.
• Prepare quantity schedules.
• Cross-check drawings against schedules.
• Update revisions.
• Maintain measurement records.
