Mechanical Engineer

Role Summary

This role is responsible for maintaining, designing, developing and testing mechanical systems and components to meet equipment/project specifications, performance standards and safety regulations. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to create efficient, reliable, and cost-effective mechanical designs and maintain equipment functionality and sustain availability.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related area from a recognized University or institution.
• Minimum 2 years experience in the relevant field in a reputed organization.
• Experience with heavy machinery, vehicles, cranes and hydraulic & pneumatic systems will be an advantage.
• Ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency of equipment and recommend improvements to reduce operational cost.
• Proficiency in Solid works, AutoCAD, MS Office and other IT applications.
• Should be an excellent team player with an outgoing personality, able to connect with all levels of employees.
• Excellent communication skills in English with good PR skills.
• Multiskilling ability to work under pressure while managing various operational demands of the port.
